National Girls Ministry

National Girls Ministry
We’re here to help you help girls thrive in their relationships so that they can make a difference in their world.
Our Vision
To see every girl moving toward a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to empower girls to realize their importance and potential in the kingdom of God.
We seek a future where girls and leaders — through mentoring and discipleship — form lasting, life-changing friendships.
What is Girls Ministries?
Girls Ministries is about intentional outreach and Christian discipleship for girls. We provide resources to help churches and individuals teach girls biblical truths that will help them learn to make God-pleasing decisions.
Why just for girls?
Gender specific ministry is crucial for developing girls into women of God. Girls are faced with so much confusion and temptation in their daily lives, but in a setting catered to girls they can connect with each other and an older mentor who can invest in them through Bible study and activities and help them grow in their faith and discover the answers to the questions they face.
Our Values
- Holy Spirit guidance
- A servant ministry
- Cultural relevance
- Teamwork and cooperation.
- Christ-like character

- About Teen Girls
Teen girls are a blast. They’re full of energy, funny stories, and can be some of the most passionate people you’ll ever meet. Here are a few generalizations that can be made about teen girls. Knowing these things can make your ministry to them a lot more effective.
- Speaking Christianese
For those of us who grew up going to church, Christianese is almost as native of a language to us as the one we speak daily. But are you excluding some of the girls you lead who don’t know that language yet?
- Balancing Act
Recently, I had the opportunity to go on a seesaw for the first time in about 18 years. As I was swinging up and down with a friend who happens to be about my size, I realized that teeter-tottering is much more fun as an adult with the cognitive ability to make adjustments and balance more effectively. It’s a lot more fun to teeter-totter when it’s balanced. In that way, life is a lot like a teeter-totter. Balancing between ministry and your personal life can be a huge challenge, but is critical to the success of your ministry as well as your emotional, spiritual, and physical health. Here are a few ideas for living a more balanced life.
- But We’ve Always Done it This Way…
I really like my routine. I like to wake up at the same time five days a week, go to work and come home at the same time every day, do small group on Monday, prayer and worship with friends on Tuesday, church on Wednesday, spend Thursday night at home, have time with friends on Friday, take Saturday off and go to church on Sunday. I even like the routine of the seasons of the year. I like knowing what’s going to happen next.
